J+P+J or P+JJ ?

I'm thinking about upgrading my bass with two jazz magnets (i get them from my friend very cheap)
first i was thinking about JPJ with 5way switch, but then another one idea came up on my mind :D

what would i get when i connect in paralel two jazz pups ? also with 5way switch (with split double jazz )

is this second idea possible ?
