When I first heard those 9 opening notes from "3/5s of a Mile in 10 Seconds" off the Bless Its Pointed Little Head album I said, "I want to make THAT noise!" So I hunted down a musician and asked him what that was. He said, "It's a bass guitar you moron!" So I bought a Peavey T-40 bass, learned those damn 9 notes, and it's been game on ever since. Later on I heard Bootsy and boy did I have pretty much the same feeling.
