Jack ends

Ok so after a few years off from heavy bass use.... I've started in a new band and thinking of reforming my old band.

Now i loved my planet waves jacks with the switch. But despise the spring loaded jack pins and plain cable.

Ive noticed planetwavesnow do a custom kit but its solderless :( and only offers plain cable.

I'm really wanting funky braided (old school iron style) cable, ideally with the planetwaves switched rightangle (PW-AGRAP-1) jack pin (it looks like spring has gone now).

Simply is there any one used the planetwaves and either soldered or used non PW cable? Or does any one know a non monster cable with a kill switch on the jack (i hate crackles when i unplug and its an easy mute mid set, and monster are way overpriced for me)

Neutrik makes a switched silent plug I like a lot. I have several cords that have them. If you look around, you can probably find a braided cable that has one, but I wouldn't make that a deal breaker. I like Mogami cables, but there are lots of good ones. As far as being overpriced, a good cord is one of those things where you tend to get what you pay for -- it's worth spending more than you're used to spending to get a good one.
