Jack/Speakon Plates for cabs

I’m building my own cabs in the summer and need some jack/speakon plates for them. I want one that has the tweeter/horn control built in (such as the Fender Bassman 410 Neo, see picture). I work in a music shop and have called every amp supplier to see if they sell them separately (which they don’t).

So does anyone know where stocks them or can do custom ones if needed?

The cabs I am building are a 3x10 and a 1x18 @ 8 ohms each. I already have the speakers lined up and all the maths adds up

Thanks,
Jake

Your best bet might be to order a jack plate with dual Speakons that has enough room to drill a hole for you to add the attenuator. Seismic Audio and others make those. I don’t know how good the quality of the jacks are they come with. But you coiid always replace them or get blank plates and load your own.

I’d definitely remove the 1/4” jacks and plug the hokes on this one however.

Probably the reason why they don’t come with an attenuator already installed is because which attenuator you end up needing depends on the specifics of your cab’s design.

One thing with Speakon connectors I’ve discovered. I always use 4-pole Speakons even if I only need them for two wires. I just use the 1+ and 1- terminals and put a hunk of shrink tubing over the other two terminals I’m not using. The build quality seems to be noticeably more robust once you get past the two pole jacks and plugs. And they don’t cost much more.

If you scroll down you can read the description:

Our 2-way bass inputs are available in 4 or 8 ohm, and have two speaker leads, and one adjustable volume horn lead. They have two 1/4 inch jacks and two speakon connectors.

DOH!

Wish they would have posted a picture of it though. Then I would have seen it. I need pictures! :)
