Indeed! It was a great show, Woody!
It was a hoot to meet Joe Puerta years later as well when he was in Bruce Hornsby's band.

David Lindley on lap steel guitar. Holy hell, he was *SO* friggin talented! IMO, it was David who gave JB his signature sound.

I tend to agree, at least my favorite JB albums all were done with David. Even the live album from the 2006 duo tour in Spain is fantastic.

I only saw JB once, 1973 as I recall, on a double bill with Linda Ronstadt. Watching David was a wild experience. I loved how he played steel to make it sound almost like someone singing…just great phrasing.
