Hi all. Reading through Bill Milkowskis book on Jaco again. In it, we see pictures of Jaco with a 5 string bass, an acoustic guitar style custom job built for him, and tuned EADGC. Then I noticed he recorded with it (or a fretless version according to the book) on a session with Ira Sullivan- a mentor of his in his early days before Weather Report. This is Jaco on acoustic 5 string, shortly before recording Pat Metheny's "Bright Sized Life" album. This was December 13 1975- were are almost to the 40 year anniversary of the track. Referenced on pg 82 of the book, Found on Youtube.
