Jaguar Bass H - Sonic Series Pickguard

Good evening gents

Would anyone know where I could find a templates for the Jaguar Bass Hambucker?
I would love to make an aluminum one piece pickguard for my bass

Pickguardian has templates for a lot of basses, though he's in the business of selling pickguards, not templtes. He might be willing to sell you a PDF printout. Not sure I follow though, if you already have a correctly sized pickguard, can't you just make your own template? If the "Hambacker" (??) is a different profile, it's pretty easy to trace it out by hand or just put it on a copier and use the printout as an overlay onto your guard. Aluminum sheet stock isn't much harder than wood, and can be cut and filed with common woodworking tools. If you want a super-tight and accurate pickup hole, you can do the "bondo trick" to make a template, but that seems like overkill for a simple rectangular shape with a couple screw tabs.

Continuing on with what Gilmourisgod is saying, I'm not sure why you would need a template. If you are making an aluminum pickguard, you aren't going to be routing it (I hope!) with a template.

Use the existing pickguard as a pattern to scribe the external shape and pickup opening onto the aluminum. Drill the holes, and use hand tools to saw and file it to shape. It's not hard.

I occasionally get asked to make up brushed aluminum pickguards for my clients. I happened to be doing one yesterday for Keith Horne, for one of his 10-string basses. So, I decided to document the whole process here, to encourage any of you who are thinking of getting into your own metalworking on your projects. Custom metal hardware can add some real class to an instrument.

Making pickguards or control plates from aluminum plate is really pretty simple, and is mostly done with hand tools. The only power tools I used were a drill press, a bandsaw, a stationary belt sander and a bench...

Thank you! Never heard of pickguardian before. I will take a look if he has that modeled.

Some years ago I made a one piece alum. pickguard for my short scale jaguar on solidworks and asked a local machine shop to cut it. It worked very well.

My computer broke last week so I am unable to try making this method at the moment.
