Jazz Bass Factory Pickup Height

Hello everyone,

Maybe a dumb question here but I am a bit confused about Fender's factory setup specs. I have a 2016 American Standard Jazz Bass, which comes stock with Custom Shop 60's pickups. Are these pickups considered "Standard" or "Vintage style"? Which setting should I follow? Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you!

Honestly, pickup height varies with type of string used as some have more steel than others. What I do is lower it to min height then raise a little at a time until it sounds best for you. If you go too high the magnetic pull will pull the strings out of intonation and sometimes making it warbling sounding. In addition being too high will make them muddy and less articulate.
