jazz pup comparison

hey guys..i just picked up a new SD sjb-3 basslines bridge pup to replace the stock one in my 08 mim fender jazz. tonight after band practice im going to install it and record a comparison between the 2. keep in mind its just the bridge pup and not the set. i happen to like the stock neck pup in my jazz. the only thing im wondering about is phase issues. since im not replacing both pups should i reverse the wiring (black and white)on the basslines pup? thanks- joep

ok heres a link to the results. sorry i forgot to record the factory pup with the tone ctrl up. i never use it up and didnt think about it till i started playing with the new pup. the first 30sec chunk is the stock bridge pup solo w tone knob all the way down. the second chunk is the new bridge pup solo with tone all the way down, then w both pups all the way up, then bridge pup solo with tone all the way up, then w tone all the way down....im sure there is prob a better way to do this...

im pretty happy with the results. the solo bridge tone seems to be much clearer and deeper while retaining and even emphasizing the low-mid growl i like so much. its even a little louder. i plugged my bass directly into ch1 on my yamaha mixer with the eq flat and compressor off. both samples were recorded with the same ch volume. -joep
