Jazz Special Bridge Replacement

What 4 screw replacement bridges have you used on a Jazz Special? I have 15 basses and never realized the 4 screw pattern. I don't want to redrill? Mine has not failed it just looks like crap.

you're talking the '80s P-J deal with the toggle switch and the black neck? all the pics i'm seeing show a regular 5-screw bridge; got a pic?

Yes. Toggle switch PJ. It is a four screw bridge. I think it is the same pattern as the Hipshot style B

Mine and every Jazz Special I've seen has a Fender 5-hole bent plate in greenish black. I'm guessing what's on there is aftermarket, and pulling it will reveal the stock holes, which would mean easy swap for you.

I already removed it to put a Babicz bridge and it is 4 holes. I swear..ha. I can send pictures.

It is greenish but the paint is coming off. It is not a bent plate, the sides are kind rolled up and thick, like a hipshot B.

I can't help with a replacement bridge, but I think I have the same bridge you are describing.

This stock bridge is on a '87 JBS (fretted - E Series)

and this STOCK bridge (4 holes) is on a fretless JBS (G Series)
I have never seen this bridge before and first thought it was after market. But it's original.
