jazz standards.

Hi do you know, a site or a good way to start with jazz standards?
Recently i had to learn some tunes like don't get around anymore.
I then get lost reading it, and playing the chords
So i found this, and started transcribing Louis Armstrong.

I usually play by ear, and put my fingers where i feel they sound good (i dont look much on technique, less on trying to use the same fingers). Dont know if it is bad, and if it would be better to think on boxes, and patterns.

So i was thinking about playing by ear the melody, and practicing wih the chart the harmony.
Which classic jazz discs would you recommend, which are simpler to transcribe based on standards? I really like Armstrong vibe.
