Jazz tone cap

Thanks for all the replies. So I'm a multi instrumentalist and got a steady bass gig. The bass in question is a 2000 mij jazz bass. I have a cheap bass so I borrowed the bass and the guy gave it to me to play. It's not mine but I can keep it type deal. So it was all corroded and had an awful buzz. The corrosion was keeping it from being grounded properly so I clean it up and no more buzz. That when I noticed the tone pot being wonky. I do have another capacitor so I will look through what you guys told me to do and let yall know. Thanks again!

If you want it hooked up like a “standard” tone control look at post 14 and do that.
