Hi guys,
Since my previous post (http://www.talkbass.com/forum/f8/modulus-identification-1013130/) i've received the concerned Bass, some-kind of SPX pre-Quantum in 5 strings JazzBass config. and i'm now looking for the pickups and electronic to re-equip.
I already had a look to what can be found for a JB 5 style and found :
Pickups :
-Aguilar AG 5J-60 5-string Jazz Bass Pickup Set
-Nordstrand nj5 *, nj5s, nj5f, nj5fs
-Delano J 5 AL, JC 5 AL-H, JC 5 HE, JC 5 HE/D
Electronic :
-Audere pro-Z , JZ3
-Noll
-Nordstrand
-Aguilar ODP 3 *
(* Actually my favorites)
Of course i won't be able to test each one ... mainly not on my own bass so that's where i need your experiences.
I already did a search, there's a ton of post treating of p.u but mostly on 4 strings.
No, what i want, what i like. I already own a JB 62 reissue MIA so i'd prefer going for an active for the Modulus and about the sound ... well my favorite tone is the one that Paul Turner has with his A.C LG-5
