Jeff Berlin Chord Tone Drmonstration

There is a vocal method called solfege that trains you to be able to hear pitch intervals. It is an expanded version of do, re, mi, … I was told that in Italy they begin teaching this to children before they start learning instruments. It greatly facilitates transcribing because you can hear the interval between pitches. Then once you find the first note you can easily play the melody. I haven't learned to do this so I'm just repeating what I've been told.
