One solo of Jeff's from the Bruford era is Palewell Park from Gradually Going Tornado. I still think it is one of his best recorded solos. Tasty.

Jaco had admitted to Jeff that he was the one guy that could solo better than he, but also said he would never tell the press that.

Jaco wasn't exactly at his prime during that recording.Kcorren said:
He does have a band that he plays with all the time. It's his trio with Danny Gottlieb and Richard DrexlerMike Flynn said:I'm a belated Jeff fan - I don't agree with everything he says and I don't like all of his music - but he IS an amazing bass player and a very musical guy at heart - I actually wish he would play more band stuff and stop just doing demos all the time - he should put himself in a band context more often - and as he's such an anti-slap guy (I'm starting to sympathise with him believe it or not) those trade shows must be torture - the amount of slap bass is like hearing distant gunfire in a war zone - with a frightning lack of melody - stick at it Jeff!
