Just been listening to Jeff Buckley's Grace, the bass playing and tone on the track Eternal Life is awesome! Anyone know the bassist / bass used? Sounds like a nice meaty Precision tone...

Ancient post but in case anyone comes back to find this.

The bass line was actually recorded by Jeff Buckley late at night after getting impatient with the tone not sounding right using this chain

Fender Jazz Bass (presumably with rounds, although Grondahl typically used flats)
Marshall JCM800 3302
Marshall 4x12 Cab

Was directly quoted from one of the sound engineers somewhere I saw a long time ago.
