Jimmy Buffett has passed

Jimmy passed away last night (Sept 1) at the age of 76. He was a master storyteller. I'm a huge fan and I'm still in shock. Sail on, sailor.

Yep. Played in a Buffett cover band for 3 or so years. Big part of my summers, and his music has been a big part of my life for 30+ years.

Saw him back in 2018. He had a very tight band and the those Parrot Heads are a different breed. I've never seen tailgating like that.

I have never played a Buffett song of my own volition but I probably know more of his lyrics than I do The Beatles. Definitely nostalgic music. Makes me think of a tipsy adults in the early 90's.
