Joe Barden/Mouradian pickups

I'm looking for a recommendation for alternatives to the Joe Barden pickups that were originally installed in Chris Squire's CS-74 Mouradian bass. I have seen more recent CS-74 basses with Bartolinis in them, and I'm sure they sound great, but cosmetically, they are wider than the original Bardens.

The Bartolini pickups (X4 models) measure 4.14" wide (Jazz Bass width?) and .87" in length. Looks to me that the original Joe Bardens were roughly the same .87" length ... maybe a bit longer ... but probably no wider than 3.625".

Can anyone point me in the right direction for black, passive, soapbar (preferably single-coil) pickups that match the old Bardens?

Thanks,
Chris

how about contacting Joe Barden's site? That's where I'd start - I don't know if his current pickups fit, but who would know better?

Well, I wrote to Joe Barden. They denied the ownership of the original pickups, which is good to learn. I don't know where I'd been told Chris' had Bardens ... some webpage somewhere. Glad to have more-accurate info, but I'm still without the correct answer. I guess I'll be emailing Jim next.

Attached are two screencaps if anyone else can help identify or recommend a suitable cosmetic resemblance for pickups.

Cheers,
Chris
