[John McVie] Fleetwood Mac in Chicago

I just picked up this book:

And now I'm listening to the album (released as Fleetwood Mac in Chicago and Blues Jam in Chicago). I just love listening to John's early work, before Lindsey BUckingham was there to micromanage his bass lines ... (I kid LB, whom I also love.)

I definitely recommend both the book and the album!

That whole band was a drama cess pool. Everybody getting a divorce except Mick. I like John's work as well but, I have fallen out of liking Fleetwood Mac. Too much whinny music but, that made them a bunch of money. Buckingham got himself tossed because he was an ass. Can't stand his music at all. John never got much credit for anything in Fleetwood Mac. Underrated bass player.

John was a great bass player. Definitely unsung. I like most of the band's hits. Not so much the album fillers. They have an excellent catalog though worth tons of money!

This is from before Buckingham, Nicks, Christine McVie. There was a ton of drama but there was no whining. Completely different band, music, etc...
