I'm not sure if anyone has seen it or posted this yet, but there is an acution on ebay right now that claims to be selling Joseph Bohmann's toolbox. They claim that it came from his estate in 1976 and that it is comlete with his tools. A quick peek shows that the tools are correct for the period and could be the real deal. No financial interest here, my apologies if I violated some sacred posting rule, et cetera, et cetera.

All that said, I know there are some folks who post here regularly and get pretty worked up about Bohmann's basses and thought it had a relevant application. If I was a bit more computer savy, I could pots a link, but I'm not there yet; it comes up quick in the search engine.

Thanks. :)

That's a pretty cool collection of planes James! It looks to be more of a Cabinetmaker's assortment though, with all the molding & rabbeting planes in there. I like the handmade compass planes - very nice. Do you suppose that jig could be construed as a bridge placement device?

The link to the Bohmann Harp Guitar page is full of interesting pix.
