Can't wait to see what it sounds like with this.

Can't wait for the next "Is an acoustic bass loud enough to go up against an acoustic guitar or two?" discussion!

I've had one for a couple of days. I'd put it in the "Better than nothing" category. I tried it with several fives and sixes. Could easily be drowned out by my tv soundbar. Also distorts easily. I'll be returning it. Probably spend a little more for a slightly more powerful combo.

I think it's Better than Nothing. It's for people who are Sick-of-using-headphones, or practicing Bass "unplugged" and barely able to hear it. Also for a Low-volume jam with an Acoustic guitarist. You can't expect much in terms of volume. It's key feature is Portability. I'd get the next version, if they Increase the Output to 20 watts and maybe make the speaker a little larger. Also looking at the New Phil Jones X4 (not battery powered). - Michael - NYC -

It’s OK for practice, use it for my u bass, Five string, and guitars, to me it’s better than the headphones

I just got me one of these little JOYOs, it was 33€ in Thomann so couldn't go wrong with the price.
It is what it is, loud enough for home practice alone or with a guitar with a similar mini amp.
The sound is as I heard in some online reviews, I'd just define it as "clear" at best :D
The OD channel seems unusable to me but that's not a problem at all, not intended for that on my case.
A nice substitute for when I'm tired of playing at home with the Vox AmPlug.
I didn't test it with batteries yet... Not included, doh!
Dunno if that may influence the output volume. With the AC adapter it is ok.
Wouldn't have gotten it for the original prices I've read around here, but for 33€, maybe that's $40? Can't go wrong if it just sounds!

My sentiment exactly. There is no comparison between the Joyo and a Roland Bass Microcube in either volume or tone (I own both), but the Joyo will allow you to play an electric bass with a couple of acoustic guitars and be heard and its a fifth of the price. If you are just looking to jam with a couple of acoustics on your backyard deck or at the campsite and there is no power available, it's definitely worth the price. If you want to gig without power you need the Roland Bass RX.
FYI the volume with batteries on my Joyo is exactly the same as plugged in and the batteries last a very long time.

Agreed! I tried it last night with the batteries and found no difference.
Nice to know they last long ;)
It's a really handy little amp to have around!

Cool, but that's about double the price plus it's Bluetooth so you need some kind of interface.
I think it's apples to oranges
It has a 1/4" input for guitar/bass, and also 2 mic inputs. And I think the Philips sounds better, at least in YT videos.
The Philips uses rechargeable batteries, so it is more eco-friendly and will save you money in the long run, compared to having to constantly buy new Duracells.
