That awesomeness aside, I'm curious to figure out what is between his CS-2's, and what is right next to the expression pedal to the far left of his board.

That particular Fender will never be sold, it's his main bass.
That's the same one one his BP cover story years ago.

Blew my mind, too. I asked him about it on facebook and he said he still has the Laklands, he just prefers to play the Fenders that he has right now.

I jsut saw him playing live and he used a lakland fretted and fretless bass! SOunded great!
