Just a curious question. What picks do you use?

the ultex big triangles for me, 1.14mm for bass and 1mm for guitar, mandolin and whatever else

my ideal pick is not too thick but with zero flex, and that material has the best combination of stiffness and wear resistance i've found outside of expensive exotics like Blue Chip picks. plus, three points per pick triples the wear life

(dirty little secret, dunlop's "primetone" is just the same ultex stuff made to look like the wildly more expensive Blue Chip)

Collecting picks is a dirty pleasure of mine.
Tend to like thick picks, especially Dunlop Primetone 2.5mm - because of the bevel.

That's the regular stuff, my favourite picks are leather ones. Measured and cut from leather scraps given to me by a local leatherworker.
I was looking for the the sound of veld picks, not available where I'm from.
Considered leather, went to the guy to ask if he could make, he gave me scraps and taught me how to do it.
Not sure how it compares to veld, but it's my favourite pick sound.

It’s no secret at all. They sound the same at the same gauges. Any difference is in the feel.

Dunop Tortex III .50mm, using either the tip, with I sand rounder, or the round corner of the pick, which is a bit less flexible.

What sounds most like my fingers, because I use the very tip of my fingers/edge of my nails to pluck the strings, with a relatively light touch, in a slight inward light slapping motion.

But I do prefer to use my fingers.

And I can strum just as fast using my fingers by utilizing the flamenco guitar finger flicking technique.

If I really need a warmer and softer tone I use the Wedgie Soft 3.1mm rubber pick:
