Just another reason Reverb's the place to shop.

Not mine, but if it's still unsold when I get my income tax check...

This is a custom model based on the Jaguar bass.
The body is made of ash, the fingerboard of rosewood, and the neck of maple.
It features both a PB-type pickup and a Music Man-style.
Controls include a master volume, pickup balancer, and tone knob, allowing seamless blending between the PB pickup and the Music Man pickup.

You could avoid the $300 shipping by having Warmoth build you the parts for a bass with these specs...
Would save a lot more than that, sure, but it'd take work and dedication I do not have, not to speak of the lack of skills required to get that nice of a result.

I freaking love the color on that. Would rather have a J personally (perhaps with fatter pickups ala Nordstrands) for functionality (plus I have no clue about weight or ergonomics of that thing) but man oh man that color scheme is schmexy.
Yup - and that's absolutely the hardest part to replicate well in a DIY / Warmoth project.... ...though Warmoth will do some finishes, for a rather hefty price, of course...

The closest I could get with the Warmoth online config:

Not "cheap" but not too bad. But it'll be over $1K easy for the rest... Probably way over...

Oh meh gehd, that is gorgeous! 😍 Agree on the price being a wee steep and the shipping cost on this is almost what I paid for my last bass, lol. But GOTT DANG that's so nice!
