just bought a fender p-deluxe but???

Fender P Deluxe is kind of pricey to have it sit there and play second fiddle to your Ibanez. Is it too late to return the Fender?

I had an american P deluxe, and a MIM p deluxe, and I sold them both.
I don't know if the sr 600 has the same neck as the other sr's, but I had a fretless 300 for a couple of weeks and hated the neck because I'm used to thicker, more substantial necks. I think people get used to the pencil necks on the srs and then anything else seems totally "not right". Almost think it's an Ibanez marketing scheme.
If there's another bass you really like the sound of, I'd suggest playing it exclusively for several months, and see if your feelings change. I think there's a good chance you'll go back to your sr and wonder how you ever loved the feel of that neck.

I've gotta agree with you on this. I've owned various SR's over the years. I took a hiatus from for a while, when I was playing Jazz and P Deluxe V's and a 55-02. Financial issues forced me to sell them all, so when I had the cash I bought a SR535. The neck is nowhere near as comfortable or as easy for me to play on as on the 3 basses I had to let go. That's not to say the Ibanez neck was uncomfortable, so much as I am that the others were a lot more comfortable.
Narrow is nice, but those are just too narrow and too flat of a radius for my liking anymore. My biggest bitch about the narrow string spacing on the SR's is actually down by the body. It just makes certain techniques a pain in the ass.
