Just finished recording this, though I'd share.

where in the world did you get the vid material to cut? I've done some in my time, and you really did a nice job, its not easy to have scenes following each other tell a story or make a point - I think its a timing issue, and for a first attempt, this is really, really well done.

Nice job, the bass is Phhaaat!
What were you using on that?
Thanks for sharing.

Thanks! So, it's the Pino P-bass with the tone rolled all the way off, direct DI into the UA 6176 - which is basically a Universal Audio 610 tube Preamp into a 1176 compressor. About 6dB of compression. I then added just a tiny little bit of tone control using amplitube2.

So the bass is actually pretty dry.. I was going for the "almost sounds like moog synth bass" sort of thing. Interestingly, I originally recorded Minimoog synth bass for this song, then decided to replace it with live bass. You wouldn't believe how close they ended up sounding.

Shucks :) I wish I had original material, but it's just culled from various vids I found on the net. (far from legit!) I did want to tell a bit of a story, and there is a bunch of cuts & changes I would do differently, but since it took over an hour to render & upload to youtube, I'm not sure if I'm going to bother.

Thanks !
