Just made a wicked deal!

At Christmas time, my parents bought me an Ibanez SR-505 that they found on one of the forums they frequent online. A nice guitar but a) I don't like the string spacing (it's too narrow) and b) I'm not a fan of active electronics (at least if a passive bass sounds crappy, I know it's ME and not the battery dying).

Sooooo....

A local music store has been getting rid of old stock, so I've been watching the price of the Geddy Lee Jazz that's been around for the past three years or so. It's a little dusty and the strings are like spaghetti, but nothing a little cleanup and set up would take care of.

The price dropped as they are serious about killing off old stock (due to its location, the store can't sell upper mid range stuff worth a darn). So I brought in the SR-505 and offered it as a trade in (it'll sell in days at this store).

They gave me the Geddy Lee for the SR-505 plus $100.00.

WOO HOO
