Justin Chancellor fans rejoice! - Modified Whammy pedal

Okay, so I came across this website...

http://www.moltenvoltage.com/whammy_mods.html

And there's a company modifying Digitech Whammy pedals (the current one) so that you get true bypass, and you can make your own settings using a pitch limiter.

This means that you can...wait for it...play Tool's Disposition without having to resort to a cheap, or expensive and complex multi-FX unit or shilling out hard-earned cash for an original Bass Whammy.

Just giving you some good news.

If I get enough Christmas money to get a PadKontrol (google it) I'll be sure to post a thread of it midi controlling the whammy 4. I think it be able to easily mimic anything these mods are doing with the addition of being an awesome live tool and drum programmer.

do you think/know/guess/suppose that with a MIDI signal the pitch range of the WH4 might be modified?

the treadle range can be remotely controlled via a constant midi value between 0 and 127. by using the octave up and down harmonizing setting and controlling the midi range of the treadle input you could effectively make and save a preset with any range above and below within the two octaves.
