Double Bass juzek bass?

The worst thing that can happen on a project like this is when the instrument doesn't come out
of the restoration as hoped for.

My experience with my project bass included much time and energy with my luthier and quite a bit of $$$ into a bass I thought had potential. That risk is something you should carefully think about. All in all, it was a very frustrating experience, although I learned a lot and was able to sell in the end for a nice profit.

As to Juzek or not, I would love answer to that. Lang, Wilfer..? Any thoughts on that would be very helpful. It's not really important for me to know; it's just the mystery of it. Again, thank you everybody!

The shape around the button area of your bass is not the typical more acute rounding I've seen on many Juzek labelled basses. The pic is of a Juzek Master Art for sale at Beerman's shop.

Thank you ! I've read that information and after joining that forum I'm unable to start a thread pertaining to this bass. Anyway, the bass will be dropped off at a shop in Maryland in the next week or 2 so the beat goes on.. Somehow with the various streaks and shades of finish on the top of this bass, I feel like it really could turn out to be an attractive instrument. Heres to hoping it sounds as good as it could look.

Michael Wolf in Virginia is a great option too .. He advised me on 2 basses… and it was a good move for me.

Thank you. The one open seam on this bass has been already taken care of . The shop in Maryland said that while previous repairs were not pretty to put it mildy, they are holding and I'm arranging shipping to San Diego.
