Double Bass K&K Bass Max - quiet higher register

I have K&K Bass Max pickup on my bass. I know. "Bass Max".
I noticed, that higher registers (above C on G string) are much quieter than lower registers on pickup signal, but acoustically they are on the similar level.
Any tips how to give a "punch" to upper registers? I usually play in lower registers but on gigs I sometimes do melodies on upper register and these are noticeably lower in volume.
