I am curious about the k&k rockabilly bass pickup. It seems to fill the requirements I need for the band/setting I'll be playing in. I am curious as to any opinions anyone may have about it or how to eq the best way necessary. Thanks.

I play bluegrass and old tyme fiddle music. I have a eberle bass. I had an underwood but didn't like it too much. I have a gk mb 150 e and a fishman b-2 preamp. I like the feature of the under fretboard pickup addition to help with the slap sound. No drummer. Just strings and the occasional washboard and trumpet.

Mine sounded nice when it was working. The lead connecting the transducer under the fingerboard to the rest of the rig was horribly microphonic and made a lot of noise even when I taped it down to the back of the board in an effort to immobilize it. I bought the thing used and fairly well worn so it may have been broken.
