i've written about this before, but i use mine with a skateboard backpack as a gig bag. the skateboard straps hold the K&M stand really well and leave both hands free for the bass.
I love mine. I only play DB on a few songs, play 90% BG, so I leave it on the stand at playing height and I just play it in the stand. It takes up less room on stage that way, and makes switching quick and easy. All I have to do is walk up and start playing.
