Sub w/ pyramids
Is it me or does the SUB with these strings seem to lack mids or even some fundamental? I hear the lows and highs but little in between.
It's not just you. They sound tinny and clacky. Also, the guy playing is all over the place. Less is often more.
Both will nail Motown, once you drop the treble a bit. It's a beautiful thing.

I bought a sub ubass sunburst yesterday for 349 shipped. I asked the vendor why so cheap (after the purchase). He said his Kala rep suggested blowing them out as new ones were going to be at NAMM. He didn't know what the "new" would be. Any ideas?

i talked to lama yesterday about their shop defretting, ryan said no to that and he knew of no intention to add fretless to suns since they have that in the cal versions. i. called before talking to the vendor about the change.
