Double Bass KC Strings angled endpin?

I have been working on a design for a tilt plate which can be drilled at a range of angles and with a range of rotation as well, any intrest?
Magnificant idea. I've been thinking about something along those lines myself! (Actually, I should say, "wishing for")
I hold the bass at an angle. It's leaning back and in toward me at the same time. Also, it is rotated such that If I'm facing north, the bass is facing ENE. I would like the peg leg to touch the floor on a line that goes from me through the bass's center of gravity.

That's an interesting idea, although IMHO the great thing about the KC angled endpin is the simplicity. I'm really happy not to have to bring Allen wrenches to gigs and struggle to take the eggpin on and off on some dark crowded bandstand.

But there are times when I think I'd like a little offset

The dificult thing with the custom plates is being able to determin the point of intercept with the ground for the individual player's end pin. The first one I did with a twist I measured the lenght of the pin as played, the angle of rotation, and th angle of tilt, but since the tilt blocks were orriginally designed as an answer to the splitting of lower blocks by laborie end pins, (observed not hypothetical) the plate is set up to have the socket at the back of the bass to mimic the laborie setup. That throws the calculations all off from one which comes off the standard end button position. for those who know all the answers as to the rotation and tilt questions, the only real dificult part is having a drill press the set up and a 17 to one tapered reamer.

there could be more isssues to deal with than are reasonable, and the wooden blocks are pretty much a one shot deal , although Isuppose it would be easy enough to bush and redrill as long as it wasn't done too many times.
