Ken Smith silk/thread colors

Hi all,

I tried some Ken Smiths a while ago and liked them a lot.

Which set has the purple threads?

Which set has the orange threads?

I seem to recall one of their strings not having any threads?

i have some ken smith strings on a bass that i really like. they have purple at both ends. how can i tell which strings they are??

thanks for the fast reply. so i have it narrowed down to either round wound or compression wound. cant really tell...

I can probably get one up later today or tomorrow but in the meantime I can tell you that the B E and A string are all tapered core if that give you any clues

Custom balanced round wound sets are the only ones with tapered BEA strings.. they are also the most common ken Smith strings.
