I bought one last year at Bass NW. Four string MK 21..it is a wonderful instrument and sounds great. I had the opportunity to meet Mike Kinal several years ago and he showed me his shop that was located behind his house. He does all of the work...selects the woods, drys them and cuts them...

James, I see you live in Burnaby. I flew out to Vancouver to play rugby when I was in high school. We were hosted by Point Grey and we played a game against Burnaby Lake RFC. That was the best time I had in my times at high school. I actually have Burnaby Lake t shirt and a toque.

I live in the Buffalo area, and there are a lot of other bassists in my particular town. 3 of us in the last 8 months have taken a trip out to House Of Guitars in Rochester and come back ranting about the same fretless Kinal.
