Klystron Ashdown Vs. ABM

If things were not bad enough with names being totally misleading
why can't electronics salesmen leave electronic equipment out of this stupid game
I wont buy one because.
I know its very dangerous and produces huge amounts of RF.
Its usually water cooled which is also a little bit inconvenient.
This is how it works.

Or not as the case may be, get a grip Ashdown.
Lets all rename it for them.

How about the Ashdown Bassmec? ;)

Folks, this is what happens if you spend too much time on Talkbass. Even I manage to get off it for a few hours at a time now and then ;)

I have nothing to do but look after bloody rock stars half the day and half the night at the mo. They just left, still they are back tomorrow and nothing has gone bang so nothing to do but be the janitor and I don't fancy that right now. I have done everything I can without more parts to my current project amp, hope they arrive tomorrow.
Laters!

Cradle of Filth...lol...have they ever been to America? Can't get absinthe here. They'd hate it.
Yup loads of times they even headlined Milwaukee metal fest and where on the OZZfest tour headlining stage two and even beat Marilyn Manson's audience figures with Marylyn simultaneously on stage one.
Still I spose everybody in the USA has seen Marilyn.
I wonder being from Florida if you know my young Cous' Justin Thomas he used to be engineering and playing all over Florida, Fort Lauderdale, Daytona and finally started Gridlock studios in Casselberry with Brett from Creed/Dark New Day. they have now amalgamated with Chango studios.
Justin is the dogs nuts on kit. and he ain't no slouch on most of the other **** either.
My uncle Robin is in Daytona and my other uncle Martin is in San Fran.
So I am sort of mid atlantic if you know what I mean.
As it happens I have just been woken up by a very wild lightning storm. Wow there have been a lot of very local strikes.
Very spectacular stuff! but I remember you get that in spades in Florida sometimes. But by UK standards what's going on right now is a unusually wild storm.
If anybody asks you ain't seen me right.

Huh?!?

Would your cousin's studio be the one that's across the street from Bass Central? Can't say I've heard the name as I'm desperately out of touch with the new up and comers around here, but it sounds sort of familiar.

EDIT: Hey, do they have much session work available? I'd sure like to get in on more of that around here. I know there's not a lot around here, but there's some.

Geez, did this thread go way off track or what? How about helping a TBer out with answers to his thread guys.
To me, both these heads are very similar and I would bet that in a blind taste test you wouldn't be able to tell the ABM500 form the Klystron. In my book, they new Classic heads are simply an AMB500 dressed up for the prom. Personally, I don't like the big head box of the new line and the prices certainly are way different. Play them side by side and I'm sure you will be leaving with an ABM500 and an extra $700 or so in your pocket. The prices on that new line are just crazy high.

+1 Ashdown seem to be currently just repackaging what they already had in different clothes ABM/Klystron, Superfly/Little Giant. A bit sad really.

Gridlock is a bit back towards you on Seminola Blvd right opposite Lake Emily to the west of the Bone Yard mate.
Justin is down in the Virgin Isles at the mo setting up another one.
You can always ask the crew at Gridlock merged Chango what they know of work wise locally. They tend to do very little advert/radio ident work or stuff like that they kind of specialize in New Metal
Crunk and harder stuff like that. Or at least Justin does.

PS I vote we rename the new Klystron. "The Turbo sonic retro booster".
Or something macho 70's and Dangerous like. "The Tarantula" "The Sidewinder" "The Pit Viper tm" "Klystron" Its so poncy Euggghhhh!
I blame the in the closet Pink dollar for the "Clarus" as well.
