I've never been to Kolstein's and I don't know if "luthier" is one of the jobs the new owner has done.
One assumes the business would be passed onto to someone eventually and absent an interested and capable heir, Manny was it.

I've known Barrie for many years and back in the day he did something to my bass. I'm not sure "luthier" is a word I would associate with him. Don't know the new owner, but I admire his enthusiasm.
