Hi guys, sorry if this is the wrong forum. I'm looking at a 1980's Kramer XKB-20, fairly good condition, few dings, a small non-structural crack in base of neck region, neck straight, frets dirty but in good condition, no buzzing. Has the original Di Marzio "P" pups, comes with case. The store is asking $599. I'm tempted to offer $500 "walk out the door" price. Any input/thoughts are appreciated.

I think your best bet would be to find the Kramer Owner's Club (they're around here somewhere) and ask there. I'm sure there'll be someone who owns one, and can advise you better than I. I do have some Kramer Lumies, but not one of those. Are you sure it's a real crack? Old acrylic finishes can fool you sometimes. If it is a real crack, then the question becomes 'can it be fixed? And how much do you want to spend fixing it?' Only you can answer that. That said, a fixable crack is certainly justification for lowering the price. If it turns out to be a finish crack, the asking price doesn't sound out of line to me; but I'm a lefty, and used to paying the Lefty Surcharge for everything, anyway. Ask the Kramer Club; and good luck with it!:)
