Krossroad Bass Amps

I happen to own a Krossroads bass amp with the 2 - 10's with the horn and the seperate single 15...I know this amp is rated for 500 watts, but I am having a hard time finding any information on the Krossroads amps. I know this amp combo came from Kuston amps. So I am just trying to expand my knowledge on my amp system....

I'm new to these forums, & I just searched for "Krossroads" & found this post. It's a bummer that there are no replies 'cause I own one & can't really find any info on it either. I think mine is a 200 combo amp. The only info I know about Krossroads, is the guy who owned Kustom & made the tuck & roll amps in the 70's, it's his son who had the Krossroads company in the mid-90's. I have no idea how long they were in business or anything else. I've had my amp since the mid or late 90's & it's served me well. It's a gold sparkle tuck & roll. So if you've come across any other info, feel free to share it.

I remember the ads for these amps in the mid 90's. I never played one or saw anyone in my area use one. If I remember correctly, Elton John's bass player was using one for a while.

Bud Ross (founder and former owner of Kustom) has had numerous ventures in MI industry (including Road Electronics and Ross Systems) his only "comeback" to something resembling traditional Kustom amplifiers has been limited to a brief venture with his son Andy Ross. The duo founded Krossroad Music, Corp. in the early 1990's and for a moment the company manufactured a series of solid-state bass amplifiers that featured the traditional tuck-n-roll cosmetic styling. I bought a Krossroad 500 head new in 1993 or 1994. I now have two heads and two 4x10 cabs. Great sounding solid amps. I also have an amp schematic and a brochure. They were made in Chanute, KS for three years. I can post photos later.

Hi there, I've bought a K500 Head and a 4x10 Cabinet recently. This is a great rig. I noticed byrotron (sp?) said he might have schematic for this unit. No schematic I could find.

Discussion on the vintage Kustom site seems the Krossroad 500 is pretty notorious for blowing fuses from cooked output mosfets or zener diodes for voltage regulation
