L1000 knob advice

My '81 L1000 doesn't have the original control knobs and as the originals are pretty much impossible to get which style do you think would look ok.
If I can't get something fairly similar to the originals I'd prefer not to go the route of the smaller 19mm Fender style chrome ones.

Any ideas/suggestions ?

I've ordered some Chickenhead knobs from a supplier over here in Europe and ordered some backup MXR/jazz type ones just in case I don't get on with the CH's

I got mine from Butch at Bayou Cables.
(they came on the bass; he had replaced the icky black chrome fender domes with them)
