Labella Low Tension Flat (LTF) silk end help

I’ve got 2 sets of used flats here labeled Labella LTF, but the silks are different colors—did this change along the way?
I didn’t buy these new. They came on basses I acquired where the seller mentioned the strings were Labella LTF. The set on the left is at least 4 years old and has been sitting here in a box, the set on the right could be newer.

Appreciate any experience you’ve had with this. Just curious if they are both what I think they are, or if one is something different.

Well, I don't know for sure about Labella, but Jon Moody of GHS Strings had told us that recently (in the past few years) one of the very few companies that makes the silk itself closed up shop, resulting in many string silks having to be reformulated. GHS tried to keep the colors similar, but the new silks don't always completely match the old silks.

I imagine something similar happened here.

I've also read about the silk colors on D'A Chromes Flats and Fender 9050 Flats changing in the last couple of years. The Chromes used to have dark blue silk, but now the blue is lighter. The same with the green on the 9050s being lighter now than before.

I have LTFs on two basses. The silk on one set is a shade lighter than the other. I didn't really think anything of it.

When the LTFs first came out, the silk color was described as "dark burgundy/wine", while people have been describing them as "purple" in some of the more recent posts.

If you want to make sure they're in fact the same strings otherwise, all you have to do is to measure the length from the ball end to the start of the silk. La Bella "long scale" sets would always have the E (36.75") shorter than the other three (38").
