LaBella Low Tension Flats...gig report

yea I just traded a bass that had them on it about a 4 yr. old set and told the guy part of deal was I keep the strings. I put a set of rounds on them. I love those strings and I think the 45-95 XL Chromes although brighter sounding are real close the tension on the LTF's.

I have the LTF's now on my Ric. It was originally a 5 string set but I found the B string to muddy on both my 34" and 35" Basses. Loving the E thru G, the B not so much could not find a bass it sounded good on.
I had these on my L2500 and was happy with the B string...nice and full. I did have to keep the action higher and play with a light touch on the B, but that worked well for me.

The rebirth of this thread is very timely for me. I have had DTF,s on my #1 P-bass and LTF,s on my Carvin J-bass for a fairly long time. I always liked both and never had problems playing either. That is until I started getting serious about playing with a pick. If I play the P with a pick for more than a song or two my right arm/hand get very fatigued but I can play the J with a pick for as long as I want with no problem. At this point if I want to play using a pick I reach for the J-bass. The LTF,s sound great and are easy on the basses neck and my arm.
