I love this bass, and I even drove to Virginia to buy it back when I sold it the first time (that guy gets dibs if he wants it back), but since I've had it back it's just sat. Facing the unfortunate reality that I'm keeping it for its looks and playability, but I have no real use for a four string and it's tying up money. Now I've got another 5 string on the way that needs paid for and a 6 that has been slow moving. Here's the link to the previous thread with deets:

SOLD - FS: Lakland USA 44-60 - Ice Blue | TalkBass.com

$2100!

Any questions feel free to ask. No longer has the audere, it's got the original passive preamp. I don't have the audere any more. It also has a tort guard. It will ship in the case along with the original E tuner (D-tuner installed).

This is a completely unsolicited comment. I had the good fortune to play in a band with dtsamples (I was playing guitar the time). He always had interesting and good sounding basses, but this was my favorite. It sat perfectly in the mix. I'd buy it myself if I hadn't just bought a Lakland USA Bob Glaub PJ.

This guy is a far better bassist than me, take his word for it! How he could play in a band with a lesser bassist than he and be so complementary I'll never know! Also a very tasteful and humble guitar player, if anyone in the SF Bay area is looking for some auxiliary guitar, though I hear he's in 3 different bands and hasn't yet been there 6 months. A testament to both his playing and personality!

This used to be mine. It may be mine again someday. It's a wonderful instrument. Sounds amazingly snappy and clear. Honestly, if I had to pick a set of jazz pickups, I'd look for the Lakland Hansens, if only because I'd hope they'd get the kind of sound this particular 44-60 was able to get.
