Hello.
I am selling my Lakland 5501. It's been recently inspected by a tech and is professionally upgraded with Nordstrand pickups and Bartolini Preamp.
Upgrades:
Bartolini Preamp
Active/Passive switch
Vol
Blend
Bass/Mid/Treble
Mid frequency Selector
Nordstrand Pickups;
Bridge - Big Split
Neck - Big Rig
These pickups work perfectly in this configuration. There are quite a few threads vouching for this.
This results to my ear in a big, authoratitive defined tone.
This is my best sounding bass but I am choosing to sell this one because I need to purchase other gear and it is the bass I most recently serviced. My other main bass plays perfectly in it's current setup, but may need a truss rod repair if it is to be setup differently so I was not comfortable selling that bass. This bass that I'm offering fro sale has no issues. I will be gigging it next tomrrow so I will be checking again at gig volume for any issues.
Apart from the regular scratch marks on any bass that's used regularly that don't go through the finish itself, there are 2 that I've been able to find that go through the finish that I only notice when I look for them. There is a tiny dark spot above the bridge pickup right where your wrist rests on the bass when playing) that is like 1/8 of an inch in diameter, and the other is on the back of the underside of the head stock right where it says "Designed in Chicago USA. Crafted in Korea"
I've included the best pictures I could take to show those.
The only trade I am interested in is for a Fearless 112, unless you have pro sax gear.
