Before anyone else asks, the thumbrest is glued on. It doesn't get in the way of a pick or slapping. It gives you a nice place to set your hand if playing fingerstyle. I really don't want to sell this bass, but I'm ordering a new custom and I'd rather sell a bass than get a divorce...
I don’t understand your question. It’s made out of very nice striped ebony. I asked for rosewood to match the fingerboard but my local luthier didn’t have any, so he used some ebony that matched another job he did for me on a different instrument.
