Lakland Skyline DJ4 owners - Weight question

I am thinking of ordering a Skyline Darryl Jones 4 string.

Looks like a great J bass to add to the stable and would like to get one before the supply dries up now that they have been discontinued.

Was going to order online and my only concern is getting one that weighs too much. What is too much ? For me that would be over 9.5 lbs.

Many sources can provide the weight of a specific bass, but many others cannot (or won't bother to).
I know the DJ has a smaller body size, what is considered an "average" weight ?

Any info from current/previous owners is appreciated.

I realize after posting this question that I am really trying to convince myself that it is OK to roll the dice and order, and see what the actual bass that shows up is like.
The weight question posted could apply to any bass or manufacturer.

Further research shows that Lakland aknowledges the weights of Skylines vary widely. I have an 8.4 lb Skyline Glaub I got here on TB, but I knew it was light from the sale listing and would not have bought it if it were an anvil.

Guess the best thing to do is order from a place that will accept a return for any reason without a hassle.

But .... if you want to post the weight of your Skylines it would be helpful to get an average of those postings.

I just sold a Skyline DJ. (Wonderful bass, but I just got a US JO.) I didn't weigh it, but it was noticeably lighter than my JO (which I know weighs 9.55 lbs). It was probably 8.5. That was a Korean Skyline.

I've played a bunch of Skylines since they moved production to Indonesia, and have found the weights to be more consistent/lighter than Korean Skylines.

Also, if you go to The Perfect Bass' site, they give exact weights on the basses they sell. I see they have two DJ4s listed right now, the weights are 8.8 and 9.5.

I've played the natural/maple at Bass Specialties, and I thought it was pretty light. Plays great too. Maybe give Glenn a call about it. If my Jazz somehow disappeared, I'd drive right over to buy it:
