Right. So the picture in post #17 is probably a Moon, not a Fender...which is what I was trying to suggest in my first post.



Here's another Fender Jazz I always associate with Larry: The sunburst one from the inside sleeve of There's A Riot Goin' On

Sunshine is his 4 string Moon bass. His 5 string is named Moonshine.
He says this in his Super Slapping Bass instructional video.

I think this bass might belong to Sly because you never see Larry with it after leaving Sly.
There are pictures of Sly in 1975 playing a very similar looking bass.
