Last Thunderfunk 550B

Hi Guys,

Looks like I have the last Thunderfunk 550 on order, Dave has told me he no longer will be building them, so its 750's now and I feel Dave will have a new smaller compact head unit coming to play off against the Shuttle/LMII etc

That's good news! I thought the 550B was already discontinued. I was interested in the 750B, but at $1900 I couldn't justify it. It was feature overkill for my needs.

No doubt that Dave builds a high quality product. I still am happy as can be with my 550A. Anything he comes up with will be top shelf.

I just bought the second to the last 750b a couple of weeks ago, congrats on buying the last one. What configuration of DrBass cabinets do you own? I've been curious of how the pairing would sound together, I've been thinking of trying that combination as well, let me know how it sounds.

Not exactly what you're looking at but I have a TFB420 and a DRBASS 2x12 and it sounds great. I'd like to get another cab, 2x10 maybe but that means a 2nd amp.

oops, just noticed my old reply. I meant 550B, not the 750B. The number on my amp is 801

Just curious, what was improved in offerings such as the 750B compared to my AMP BH-420?

i managed to get a 550-b here in the classifieds, should be shipping today, seller says its #600. i can't wait to get it!
