Wish we had a discussion sub but I'll try my post here. So I was over on Reddit and there was a discussion about slap bass. Who for or against. One person mentioned how it was a new direction to take bass playing and it got me thinking.
Q: who and what is the latest technique going?
Has anyone used a slide on a bass or a tremolo bar? Who's currently trying to take bass playing to the next level ?

The Fender Bass VI with tremolo bar was introduced back in the '60s. Not exactly the latest of innovations now.
